Una serie sull'apparenza come verdetto. Ho chiesto a donne con corpi che il mondo nota, giudica, commenta — corpi grassi, tatuati, di colore, segnati — di stare davanti alla macchina fotografica senza mostrare il viso. Nessun nome, nessuno sguardo, nessun contesto. Solo il corpo. Quello che rimane è sufficiente, per molti, per formarsi un'opinione.
A series on appearance as verdict. I asked women with bodies the world notices, judges, comments on — fat bodies, tattooed bodies, bodies of colour, marked bodies — to stand in front of the camera without showing their face. No name, no gaze, no context. Just the body. What remains is sufficient, for many, to form an opinion.
Fotografia digitale in studio. Nessun ritocco sulla morfologia dei soggetti. La luce costruisce, non corregge. Sfondo neutro, posa frontale o di tre quarti, volto escluso dall'inquadratura come scelta concettuale precisa.
9 fotografie. Il numero non è casuale: abbastanza per costituire una serie, non abbastanza per esaurire il tema.
Digital photography in studio. No retouching of subjects' morphology. Light constructs, not corrects. Neutral background, frontal or three-quarter pose, face excluded from the frame as a precise conceptual choice.
